It was through travel journaling that I first got into watercolor—or rather, that watercolor asserted itself upon me quite unexpectedly.
I knew I enjoyed drawing, but I didn’t realize I would love painting so much…
What appeals to me is that watercolor can be done quickly.
For one thing, I lack the patience to spend hours working on a single painting.
My quest to simplify both subject matter and brushwork leads me toward a rapid style of painting.
Having begun my professional career with portraiture, I am now showcasing my work on landscapes—my primary source of inspiration.
I often find myself torn between these two seemingly distinct themes, which nonetheless share striking similarities. It is fascinating to seek a common interpretive approach, whether the subject is a human face or a village nestled in a valley.
I love the element of chance involved in working with water, and the suggestive forms that emerge from it.
I focus heavily on portraiture and enjoy the challenge of capturing an emotion or expression.
I have participated in numerous street art competitions and have exhibited at watercolor shows in France and abroad since 2014.
I also conduct many workshops throughout France.
