Watercolor is a technique characterized by the expression of water, luminosity, and transparency. Practicing it can lead to frustration just as easily as to a profound sense of happiness with the resulting outcome.
It is undoubtedly a technique that demands determination, discipline, and perseverance. The execution is immediate, highlighting the practitioner’s spontaneity and naturalness.
What matters to me is capturing the essence of the landscape—of life, death, shadow, and light—but above all, making visible the sound of the wind, the whispers of nature, and the roar of waterfalls. I harness the shapes and textures created by water and pigment on the paper, as well as the surprises the water itself offers—much like life itself.
